This past Saturday Kathy and I went to Newberry, SC to check out their Octoberfest, and we had a wonderful time. Nathan, Wendy, Tristan & Joshua were already up there along with Nathan's parents Dan & Sharyl Groscost. If you have a good German name such as Groscost an Octoberfest is a good German event to attend.
When we finished taking in all the sights we proceeded to the Cabana Cafe to have a great dinner. Kathy and I have known the owner Star Chappell for several years and we were treated like royal guests. She has the best shrimp and grits that you can get anywhere. Really anything you order is absolutely fantastic. What a great Saturday afternoon we had with family and friends.
The next time you want a superb meal (lunch or dinner) check out the Cabana Cafe -- you will not be disappointed.
